Welcome to the Northern Virginia Component of the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association (VDHA)!

We’re proud to represent dental hygienists across the Northern Virginia area, uniting clinicians, educators, students, and advocates who are passionate about advancing oral and systemic health in our community. Whether you're a long-time member, a student just beginning your journey, or a visitor interested in learning more about our work, we’re glad you’re here.

We’re committed to fostering professional growth, legislative advocacy, and community engagement. Check back often for updates on continuing education events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved in shaping the future of our profession.

A note about volunteering: as the VDHA relies 100% on volunteer participation to function effectively there is always opportunity for people to step into new roles. If you think you might be interested in filling a vacant position within the Component or serving as a NVDHC board member please let us know! Don’t be shy! There are lots of different ways to volunteer with us. There are resources available to assist with leadership training as well. 

Also look for us on Facebook (Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association- Northern Virginia) and Instagram (yourvdha). We are working to improve our social media presence and will be periodically posting fun and informative content.
